What is Day to craft About?
Day To craft is an extension project off of d2gb. we embody the same value of giving back to the community as d2gb and focus our efforts on enhanching pediatric care through providing creative outlets for patients.
Day to craft packages
Our main goal is to create a variety of craft packages for children’s hospitals which are catered to pediatric patients and associated volunteer programs. These packages would strive to provide pediatric patients with activities that are cognitively engaging, utilize fine motor skills, and evoke a natural sense of reward/accomplishment in children.
These packages help to provide refined resources for volunteers/staff to allow for a seamless interaction with patients. This would also minimize planning time and material waste.
Each package will come individually packaged with all activity-specific materials enclosed to ensure accessibility and efficiency in a clinical setting. Instructions will also be enclosed in each package. For every package you sponsor, your name will appear on the corresponding package as a public gesture of thanks.
About the developer
Dayun Yun is from Calgary, Alberta. She graduated from the University of Alberta in 2024 with a BSc double major in Psychology and Biological Sciences, along with a Research Certificate in Psychology.
She was inspired to develop Day To Craft through her work with children in both clinical and research settings. She is very excited for the future impact that Day To Craft will have on pediatric patients.
